(Wreath from Marshalls with a few touches added by me)
It’s Christmastime at The Queen’s Quarters! Hard to believe we’re here already, but I’m not complaining, I love this time of year. As per my personal tradition, the day after Halloween, I pulled out my holiday décor bin and got to work. (So it’s been done for a while, I just got around to taking pictures and writing this post, lol!) And like I seem to do every year, here of late, I had decided I wasn’t going to do much by way of Christmas decorations this year, and then I saw this ribbon, and this ornament, at JoAnn’s, and I changed my mind.
As far back as I can remember, in my adult years, I’ve never really been a tree person, although I do sooo admire all the pretty trees I see on Instagram and Pinterest, but not enough to put one up, lol! I’ve got a bunch of little tabletop trees for vignetting, but that’s about it on the tree front. This year I was just going to go with… wait for it, you guessed it, WHITE! Then I saw the above-mentioned items and it became a blush and white Christmas. I’d also decided to try doing simple green wreaths on all the doors. I thought this would be maximum impact for minimum cost, except I didn’t realize I had so many doors and other areas where I’d want to hang them. You know I’m all for spending as little as possible for seasonal decor. All wreaths, except the big one on the front entrance door, came from At Home Decor Superstores.

Savoring the Season...
Out of all of my Christmas decor, since I became a homeowner in 2007, I have to say that I’m most pleased with this one. Walking though all the rooms, everything just feels like Christmas to me this year. This is hands down, my favorite time of year; my favorite holiday. As a Christian, I love the “reason for the season”, and I’m thankful in remembrance and celebration of the birth of Christ. But I also love many of the traditional “feels” of the season, like… exclusively playing Christmas music all season long, my eggnog chai, my favorite holiday movies like “The Holiday”, “When Harry Met Sally” and new fav, “Jingle Jangle”, along with wearing flannel pj’s for one night a year on Christmas Eve, lol! So from The Queen’s Quarters to your home, I’m wishing you love, joy and peace, making for a very, merry Christmas :)xo

The house looks absolutely beautiful! not big on trees either but nice to look at. Your home has that Christmas winter ambience to it that would make one think based on the optics that it’s 3 feet of white snow outside those windows. But remembered that’s Arizona not here around Chicago anymore. LOL!
Thank you so much Pierre! And yes, I love the “look” of a winter wonderland, but I never want to live in one EVER again, lol!!! All the best to you this holiday season!
