In June of 2020 (yes in the middle of the pandemic), I completed furnishing my patio. I fell in love with the vibrant green and white with touches of black/dark grey rod iron finishings while of course, searching for inspiration on Pinterest, and it became the theme for the space. The post detailing the original reveal is HERE.
I loved the green so much. But after a while, as expected, it began to fade. Also, I was never a huge fan of the black iron base of the sectional, or the black ceiling light fixture. But since it didn’t look bad, I decided to leave it be, until recently when I came across these two inspiration photos…
I’d been thinking about lighting up the space, giving it more of a natural and white vibe. After coming across these inspiration pics, I was sure I wanted to go ahead and make the change.
How it's going...
As per my usual, I neglected to capture each phase of the process (deep sigh), but after using the pavered part of my yard as my staging area for everything, here’s how the patio space looks now…
Many of the new decor items used were found at my favorite place… you guessed it… Amazon: the rug, the two “starfish” pillow covers, as well as the throw and the tablecloth. The coffee table decor items and the tan and paisley-ish pillows are from At Home Decor Superstore.
The “natural-ish” color fabric layering the table dressing, and the re-upholstered seat covers on the rod iron chairs is from SAS Fabrics. All tabletop items and items on top of the cabinet were shopped from what I already had at home. And one day I’ll finish that wall of greenery, which comes from Walmart.
Also added, was another panel of the airy white curtains I already had on the other side of the patio, from Amazon. And… at some point, since the white on the patio floor is dulling, I’ll be re-priming the floors and throwing another coat of white paint on it, but not any time soon, ha!
Wrapping UP...
There’s still a few things footnoted in my head that I’d like to do at another time when funds allow, lol! Like, adding a ceiling medallion around the light fixture, adding faux greenery screens up all along the walls of the yard, and adding a small firepit encircled by about five white chairs with some bug repellent burners and perhaps a few lanterns. But for now, I’m over the moon with how it looks, and with the lower temps FINALLY landing here in Arizona, I’ll be spending all the time I can out on the newly re-decorated, Queen’s Quarters Patio!
